Who's involved

The people helping test the proposal.

The working group is tasked with researching, engaging, listening, representing, responding, and advising. It is not the future board and does not make long-term operational decisions for the pub.

These profiles are adapted from the working group update emailed to the community on 4 June 2026. More details will be added as names, roles, and permissions are confirmed.

  • Justin
    Property advisory & feasibility consultant

    Justin

A proud Cygnet resident drawn to the Huon Valley by its natural beauty, strong community, peaceful lifestyle and decent pies. When not working, you'll find him at the Cygnet Tennis Club playing social tennis with varying degrees of success.

He is Founder and Principal Consultant of Luzern Property Advisory and Co-Founder of Feasity.com, a platform assessing financial feasibility of development and community projects. He has held senior positions with global commercial real estate and advisory firms, working on complex projects involving strategic planning, funding, investment and delivery models. His experience includes various ownership and governance structures, including cooperatives, and guiding organisations from concept to implementation. He has also served on the commercial advisory panel for the Victorian Government's Department of Treasury and Finance.

Like many in the community, he recognises the challenges involved in this project but remains optimistic that with a well-considered approach, there is genuine opportunity to create lasting community benefit and generational wealth for Cygnet.

The working group notes that he prepared its draft funding strategy (June 2026) through Luzern Property Advisory. That draft is marked “for discussion only”; its figures are modelled estimates, not verified costs or professional advice.

About the working group. If the proposal proceeds, the co-operative’s members would elect a board. The current working group’s role is to help test feasibility and prepare the information the community needs for that later decision.
