The Bottom Pub Project

Privacy notice

How information submitted through this website is handled — collected during the Bottom Pub campaign (concluded 13 August 2026) and maintained now as a civic record. This is a plain-language summary; it is not a legal opinion.

What this site collects

Only the contact form remains open, for corrections and questions about the archive. The other five forms are closed but are listed because their records are still held:

The site also uses Google Analytics on public pages to count visits in aggregate. Cloudflare may log standard request metadata (IP, user agent, request path) for operational and security purposes.

Why we collect it

We collect information to:

Third parties involved

When you submit a form, your information passes through the following services:

We do not sell, rent, or share contact details with marketing partners or any third party outside the operational chain above.

The pub’s incoming owners

The archive publishes what Cygnet said it wants from the Bottom Pub to the property’s incoming owners, should they find it useful. If that happens, it will be limited to aggregated, de-identified themes drawn from the community survey. Names, contact details, free-text responses, and any individual record will not be provided to them without your separate, explicit consent. The identity of the buyer is not published here; nothing has been transferred as at the date above.

How long we keep it

EOI, contact-form, community-survey, financial-survey, pledge, and mailing-list submissions are kept as part of the civic archive, unless you ask us to remove your data sooner. They will not be transferred to another organisation without explicit consent.

Your choices

Security

The site enforces a strict Content Security Policy and HTTPS everywhere. The admin and members areas are protected by Cloudflare Access. None of this is a substitute for caution: please do not include sensitive personal information (medical, financial, identifying third parties) in form submissions.

Legal framing

A co-operative formation meeting was scheduled for 23 August 2026, but this archive does not record an outcome and makes no claim that a co-operative or board resulted. This privacy notice describes how the site’s data is handled as a civic archive. It is not a legal advice document.

Contact about privacy

For privacy questions, removal requests, or access requests, use the contact form with enquiry type “Something else entirely” and the word privacy in your message. We will respond.
